A native of Sonora, Mexico, Roberto founded AfterCollege at Stanford University, where he obtained his B.A. degree in Economics. Roberto works with the AfterCollege management team and the company’s board to craft the company’s vision and ensures that everyone works to execute that vision, which consists of helping every college student and grad find that first job or internship. Roberto has collaborated with President Obama’s Administration on various initiatives, including the launch of Summer Jobs+, which successfully created more summer opportunities for youth of ages 16-24. He also worked with Mayor Ed Lee and the City of San Francisco on creating a similar program locally, which helped generate over 5,000 summer opportunities.
Roberto is a co-author of AfterCollege’s 7,213,019 patent, covering the company’s proprietary online recruiting technology. Roberto is fluent in Spanish, English and also speaks some French. He enjoys traveling, running and developing new product ideas and partnerships for AfterCollege.
