Mike Horner

Mike Horner is a seasoned professional in the field of meteorology, currently serving as a Project Advisor and Capability Development Meteorologist at Air Force Materiel Command, where they develop disruptive technology for the Integrated Development Office. From 2019 to 2024, they worked as an Acquisition Meteorologist at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, integrating weather requirements into advanced weapon systems. With extensive experience in the United States Air Force, Mike held various roles, including Lead Forecaster and Chief of Training, contributing to numerous projects and initiatives in meteorology and atmospheric sciences. They have also shared their knowledge as an Adjunct Professor of Meteorology at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Mike's educational background includes a B.S. in Geography-Meteorology from the University of South Alabama and an M.S. in Meteorology from the Naval Postgraduate School.
