At Afya Partners, we focus on delivering sustainable solutions at the intersection of environmental health, climate change, and healthcare. Founded in 2024, we aim to bridge critical gaps in environmental and climate assessments through locally informed expertise. Our services are designed to respect local realities, ensuring that solutions are relevant, culturally sensitive, and impactful.

"Afya," meaning "wellbeing" in Arabic and Swahili, reflects our holistic approach to health, encompassing physical, mental, and social dimensions, in line with the World Health Organization’s definition of health. This comprehensive perspective guides our work in creating effective environmental health solutions.

We specialize in environmental health consultancy, offering services that support sustainable development, climate change adaptation, and environmental protection. Our approach emphasizes collaboration with local communities, ensuring that solutions are non-invasive, non-exploitative, and aligned with local knowledge and needs.

Afya Partners also works to connect global environmental and climate negotiations with on-the-ground action. Our involvement in international processes, like the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee for a legally binding instrument to end plastic pollution and efforts for the Global Goal on Adaptation under the UNFCCC, allows us to translate global insights into practical solutions.

We are committed to disrupting the status quo by offering an integrated, regionally relevant approach that delivers lasting environmental and health impacts. With expertise in environmental science, public health, and sustainable development, we set a new standard in environmental health consultancy, driving positive, sustainable change on a global scale.
