David Keating is currently the Vice President of Fermentation at Again, a position held since 2025. They previously served as Senior Director of Open Innovation Partnerships and Director of Strain Development at Synata Bio from 2019 to 2024 and from 2015 to 2019, respectively. Earlier in their career, David was an Associate Scientist at the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center from 2008 to 2014 and an Assistant Professor at Loyola University Chicago from 2002 to 2008. They earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed a Post Doctoral in Biology at Stanford University.
