Jay Teagle

Jay Teagle has a strong background in finance and accounting. Jay worked as the Director of Accounting & Purchasing Services at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, where they were responsible for all aspects of the accounting and purchasing functions. Jay also implemented a new financial closing process to provide more accurate and timely information for management. Prior to this, they served as a Financial Consultant, providing services to the acting VP - Administration. In this role, they developed budgeting procedures for newly implemented software and implemented a system to control spending on a $10 million expansion project.

Before their time at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, Jay Teagle was the Vice President of Finance at Nomaco, Inc., where they managed all financial activities for the company. Jay secured a $500 million Industrial Development Grant through the State of North Carolina for the purchase of an electric generator.

Earlier in their career, Jay Teagle worked as a Controller at Covidien (Tyco), reporting to the Plant Manager of two Tyco Healthcare facilities. Jay directed all financial and IT activities for the manufacturing locations and managed the financial aspects of a product line divestiture.

Jay Teagle completed their MBA in Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - The Lally School of Management from 1993 to 1995. Jay also obtained a BA in Government from Franklin & Marshall College spanning from 1970 to 1974.
