Mark Phillips has a strong background in biotechnology and compensation and benefits administration. Mark served as the Vice President and Executive Director at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, where they focused on economic development goals and facilitating partnerships in the biotechnology community. Mark also co-owned and worked as a professional consultant at NCEast Business Solutions. Prior to that, Mark worked at DSM Pharmaceuticals, where they held positions as an Account Director and Director of Compensation and Benefits. Mark was responsible for account management activities and total compensation and benefits administration for employees in multiple locations. Mark also has experience in compensation and benefits administration at Sprint Telecommunications, where they managed the compensation and benefits for a large division of the company.

Mark Phillips attended North Carolina Wesleyan University from 1980 to 1984, where they received a Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration/ Accounting. Additionally, from 1980 to 1982, they attended the University of Mount Olive and obtained an Associate of Science degree.
