Daniel O.

Daniel O. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Daniel currently serves as a Board Director at Ames Main Street, a position they have held since January 2020. Prior to this, Daniel was President and CEO, as well as Chairman, at AgCertain Industries, Inc. from August 2018.

In 1996, Daniel became President and CEO of OEI, Inc., where they remained until joining Renewable Energy Group, Inc. in 2006. At Renewable Energy Group, they held various roles including President & Chief Executive Officer, President and Chief Operating Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and CFO and Executive Vice President.

Daniel also had board memberships at Ames Economic Development Commission (2012-ongoing) and Ames Chamber of Commerce (2009-2011). Daniel served as Chairman and Director at Iowa Biodiesel Board from 2007 to 2011. Daniel was also Vice President at Agri Business Group (2004-2006).

Earlier in their career, Daniel worked at Eli Lilly and Company as a Manager from 2001 to 2004. Daniel began their professional journey at McKinsey & Company, working as an Associate for a year from 2000 to 2001.

Daniel O. earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, Accounting and Strategic Management from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1983 to 1987. Daniel also received their High School Diploma from Bloomington High School North in 1983.
