Gavin Syson

Gavin Syson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Gavin began their career as an Assistant Compliance Officer at The West Brom in 1999. Later, they joined Yorkshire Bank, National Australia Group, where they held various roles, including Advice Quality Adviser and IFA Technical Consultant, Advice Policy. In these roles, they focused on developing IFAs' technical competence, enhancing advice policy guides, and ensuring the quality of advice and documentation. In 2013, Gavin joined Age Partnership as the Risk & Compliance Manager, responsible for managing monitoring processes, introducing a new file grading process, and conducting thematic reviews and investigations. Gavin then progressed within the company, taking on the position of Head of Training and Development, followed by their current role as Head of Quality Assurance.

Gavin Syson pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The University of Manchester, which they attended from 1989 to 1993.
