David Simpson

David Simpson has over 30 years of work experience, starting with a role as Assistant Manager at KPMG from 1989 to 1994. David then worked at Lloyds TSB as a Senior Manager for Groupwide Projects, Planning, and Standards from 1994 to 2001. After that, they joined BAE Systems as the Head of Shared Services Audit from 2001 to 2003. David then became the Director of Internal Audit & Risk Management at Groupama Insurances from 2003 to 2008. David then worked as the Business Support Director at GUK Broking Services Limited from 2008 to 2013, followed by the position of Chief Operating Officer/Finance Director at The Bollington Group (Holdings) Limited from 2013 to 2014. David's next role was as an Interim FCA Compliance Officer at Virgin Media from 2014 to 2015. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Audit at Ageas UK since 2016 and was previously the Head of Internal Audit from 2015 to 2016.

David Simpson graduated from the University of Warwick in 1989 with a BA degree in Economics & International Studies. Prior to attending university, they studied at Peter Symonds College in Winchester. In terms of additional certifications, David obtained the ACA certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales in 1992, followed by the FCIIA certification from the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors and the CISA certification from ISACA in 1996.
