Matt Smith

Matt Smith has a diverse work experience in the data management field. Matt is currently working as the Ageas Group Data Management Officer since January 2023. Before that, they were the Head of Enterprise Data at Ageas UK starting from September 2019. Matt also co-founded a digital and data startup called MAGNEZIUM in February 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Manager - Data and Analytics at PwC from July 2018 to September 2019. Matt held the position of Head of Data at Wiggle from June 2016 to January 2018 and also worked as a Data Consultant at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) during the same period. Before that, they served as the Head of Data Management EMEA at Medtronic from November 2014 to May 2016. Matt had various roles at COVIDIEN from February 2010 to October 2014, including Head of Data Quality and Governance, Global Data Quality Manager, Data Quality Manager EMEA, and Project Manager.

Matt Smith attended the Academy of Contemporary Music from 2001 to 2002, where they obtained a diploma in drumming. Prior to that, they attended Horndean Community College from 1994 to 1999. Matt also holds certifications including TOGAF from The Open Group, obtained in 2014, and PRINCE2 Practitioner, obtained in 2011. Additionally, they have obtained certificates in management accounting, financial accounting, and business economics from CIMA.
