Nirali Patel

Nirali Patel has a strong background in insurance pricing and analysis. Nirali started their career at LV= as a Motor Pricing Analyst, where they worked on the Direct Motor product and served as the Lead Analyst for the Car Breakdown product. In 2019, they joined ERGO Group AG as a Travel Pricing Analyst, focusing on insurance pricing for the UK Travel market. During their time at ERGO, they also played a role in building the company's data warehouse. In 2021, Nirali joined Cuvva as a Pricing Data Scientist, where they collaborated with various teams to develop pricing models and product propositions for short-term and subscription-based motor insurance. Nirali then moved on to Markerstudy Insurance in 2022, working as a Senior Pricing Analyst in the Technical Risk Modelling team. Nirali gained exposure to pricing models using GBMs and conducted analyses for Commercial Vehicle and Private Car insurance. Currently, Nirali is working at Ageas UK as a Lead Pricing Analyst, overseeing the profitability of Car, Bike, and Telematics products within the Non-Standard Broker Motor portfolio. Nirali manages a team of three direct reports and is responsible for ensuring the profitability of these products.

Nirali Patel graduated from AllWomen in 2023 with a focus on Data Science. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics from Brunel University London in 2016. Nirali also attended Hazelwick Sixth Form College from 2010 to 2012 and Hazelwick Secondary School from 2005 to 2010, where they completed their GCSE. In addition to their formal education, Nirali obtained a certification in Data Science Course from AllWomen in 2023 and a certification in DataRobot for Data Scientists from DataRobot, Inc. in 2021.
