James Wilde

James W. is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in agribusiness and technology sectors. Currently serving as a Partner at Kearney since October 2022, James has been an original team member at AgFunder since November 2011, focusing on investment and business development. In addition, James contributes as a mentor for the Plug and Play Tech Center and SVG Ventures-THRIVE since September 2020 and September 2018 respectively. Previously, James held the role of Global Agribusiness, Agtech & Innovation Leader at EY from January 2018 to September 2022, and Head of Agribusiness at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise from January 2011 to December 2017, overseeing significant consulting and market entry strategies. James has also co-founded and led multiple startups in the digital agtech and aquaculture sectors. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Biochemistry from North Carolina State University, a Master of Science in Marine Science and Economics and Finance from UNC Wilmington, and further studies in Natural Resource Economics at Duke University.
