Ryan Kipp

Ryan Kipp is the Senior Vice President, Legal at AGI. Ryan was previously with ExxonMobil, where they served as Counsel from November 2008 to December 2015.

At ExxonMobil, Ryan provided primary legal support and strategic advice to clients in Downstream, Midstream and Corporate functions. Ryan has significant transactional experience, and has Negotiated and drafted a variety of commercial contracts. Ryan has a proven track record of building and maintaining trust with internal and external stakeholders.

Ryan advised clients on regulatory and compliance issues, including supply and transportation, customs, competition law and anti-corruption compliance. Ryan also acted as Canadian legal advisor on multi-jurisdictional matters for ExxonMobil, including multinational transactions, cross-border insolvencies, tenders, antitrust issues, supply agreements, global initiatives and anti-boycott legislation.

Ryan has experience managing outside counsel to obtain solid results while controlling costs. Ryan has also advised clients on various marketing and intellectual property issues (Mobil and Esso branded products). In addition, they have prepared required filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission including Annual Form 10-K, Quarterly Form 10-Q, and Form 8-K (material events). Ryan has also drafted and filed required Canadian disclosure, including all reporting under National Instrument 51-101.

At AGI, Ryan is responsible for ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and listing requirements. Ryan also assists in structuring corporate governance and planning

After completing their undergraduate degrees, Ryan Kipp worked in marketing and finance for several years before deciding to pursue a law degree. Ryan attended the University of Manitoba and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 2009.

They are on a team with George Vis - Executive Vice President, North America, Paul Householder - COO, and Jim Rudyk - Chief Financial Officer. Their manager is Tim Close, President and Chief Executive Officer.
