Established in 1977 by carpenter, contractor and entrepreneur Art Guatreau, AGI General Contracting is a leading commercial general contractor specializing in healthcare, grocery, and retail markets throughout the West. Art built his family’s company from the ground-up on a foundation of integrity, relationship-building, and reliable results. Following his passing in 1985, Art’s family has continued to honor his legacy while moving the business forward as an industry leader.

Today, AGI remains a family-owned operation led by President and CEO Chris Gautraeu and his brother Vice President Andrew Gautreau. Over the past 40-plus years, AGI has expanded its services and reach by fostering trusted, long-standing partnerships with recognized healthcare, grocery, and retail brands. A general contractor with more than 50 employees providing complete pre-construction, construction, and design-build services, AGI has fostered a reputation for exceeding client expectations for on-time, on-budget completion.
