Frederic Hook

Principal Hardware Engineer at Agility Robotics

Frederic Hook has over 30 years of experience in the engineering field. Frederic began their career in 1986 as an Electronics Engineer for the United States Air Force, where they researched repair possibilities for phase shifters in a phased array ground radar and processed flight telemetry data from the F-111 AMPS program. In 1987, Frederic Hook joined Georg Fischer as a Project Engineer and Electronics Design Engineer, where they designed microcontroller-based instruments and control electronics for BCF pipe fusion machines. In 1997, they became the Principal Hardware Engineer and Hardware Manager at Magellan GPS, providing functional management for up to 13 engineers/technicians in the hardware group while continuing their design/technical guidance role. From 2006 to 2011, Frederic Hook served as the Principal Hardware Engineer at Evolution Robotics, and from 2009 to 2011, they were the Senior Hardware Engineer at Masimo, where they designed and documented medical electronics systems and sensor interfaces. From 2014 to present, Frederic Hook has been a Consulting Engineer, performing full electrical and mechanical design of high performance end fed half wave antenna designed to be backwards compatible with selected mobile VHF radios. Frederic is currently a Principal Hardware Engineer at Agility Robotics.

Frederic Hook attended Salzburg International Preparatory School from 1977 to 1981. Frederic then attended California State University, Chico from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
