Senior Software Engineering Manager at Agility Robotics

Rian Bogle has a diverse work experience spanning several years. They started their career in 2002 at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) as the Chief of Infrastructure and IT Operations. In this role, they directed multiple teams and spearheaded the redesign and implementation of a hybrid-cloud, cloud-native architecture.

In 2019, Bogle joined Blackboard as a Principal Cloud Architect. They were responsible for infrastructure and cloud-related strategic, technical, and design decisions for the global SaaS company. They also led the strategic direction and technical designs for cloud (AWS) platform technology adoption and migration.

In 2021, Bogle joined Technology Transformation Services (TTS) as a Principal Platform Engineer. They played a key role in the development and delivery of a cloud-native platform as a service (PaaS) called cloud.gov. They later transitioned to the role of Senior Software Engineering Manager, where they focused on facilitating digital transformation, cloud adoption, and platform use by federal agencies.

Currently, Bogle works at Agility Robotics as a Principal Platform Engineer. Further details about this role are not provided.

Rian Bogle completed a Master of Science (MS) in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, from 1997 to 1999, Rian attended Northern Arizona University, majoring in Computer Engineering but did not obtain a degree. Rian's undergraduate education was at Syracuse University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from 1990 to 1994.

In addition to their formal education, Rian obtained several certifications. In 2019, Rian became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and also gained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification. In 2020, Rian earned the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc., and the Certified SAFe® 5 Practitioner certification.
