In 2009 they were a Freelance Videographer at The National Wild Turkey Federation. In 2008 they were an Election Assistant at Lancaster County Voter Registration and Board of Elections. In 2007 they were a Program Assistant at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In 2005 they were a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Peace Corps.
Travis Mecum obtained a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University's H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management in 2011. Travis also holds a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in April 2022.
