Tony Marshall

Tony Marshall has a diverse and extensive work experience in the travel industry. Tony has held various leadership roles in global companies, where they have contributed to the growth and development of the organizations.

Starting in 2002, Tony worked at Wotif.com as the Manager of Product Development. Tony successfully managed a team and established strong relationships with accommodation providers. During their time, they also negotiated contracts with IHG and Accor Groups.

In 2004, Tony started their own concrete distribution company called Tanshera Pty Ltd, where they served as the Director. Tony handled the day-to-day operations and managed the financial aspects of the business.

Moving back to the travel industry, Tony joined Destinations of the World in 2007 as the Business Development Manager for the APAC region. Tony played a pivotal role in strategically developing the Oceania region and managing sales and contracting teams across multiple countries.

Next, Tony worked at Ignite Travel Group (previously RewardsCorp) in 2008 as a Product Development Manager. Tony was responsible for managing the resort and hotel product, developing a defined product strategy, and collaborating with tourism and non-tourism suppliers.

In 2009, Tony joined Tourico Holidays as the Vice President for the Asia Pacific region. Tony oversaw a large geographical area and ensured the implementation of an aggressive growth strategy. Tony achieved a significant sales growth of 43% in the Asia Pacific region.

From 2011 to 2016, Tony held the position of Head of Asia Pacific at ORBITZ Partner Network. Tony led the distribution business in Asia Pacific, set the overall strategy, and managed the business development and account management teams.

In 2016, Tony joined Peakwork AG as the Vice President of Global Sales. Tony established a new global sales department, recruited sales heads and managers, and contributed to solution sales growth globally.

Following this, Tony worked at The ENTERTAINER as the General Manager of Travel from 2018 to 2019. Tony was the head of the travel division and achieved significant milestones such as the creation of the Entertainer Getaways booking platform and driving growth and distribution of the Entertainer GO platform with key partners.

Most recently, in 2020, Tony served as the Head of Asia Pacific at WHL. Tony successfully led the growth of hotel supply and B2B sales across the APAC region.

Currently, Tony is the Regional Director for South Asia/Australia & New Zealand at Agilysys, starting in 2022.

Tony Marshall attended the Queensland Commercial College from 1994 to 1995, where they pursued a Certificate IV in Travel & Tourism. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1988, they studied at the Sarina Russo Institute and obtained a Diploma of Computer Studies.
