Amie Wright

Amie Wright is the Senior Vice President of Internal Audit at AGNC. Amie has over 20 years of experience in auditing and financial reporting. Amie began their career at Arthur Andersen LLP, where they were a Senior Auditor. Amie supervised year-end substantive audits of both private and public companies, including formal review/audit of quarterly and year-end financial statements and related footnote disclosures for clients to facilitate SEC filings. Amie was also responsible for the development and execution of the audit plan and related staffing requirements for multiple engagements at a time.

In 2001, they left Arthur Andersen to join PG&E Energy Trading as Manager - Financial Reporting (Gas Trading). In this role, they supervised four accounting staff in general ledger accounting and monthly reconciliation procedures. Amie was responsible for valuation of gas trading activity, including calculation of time value of money, liquidity and credit reserves for a $120M+ portfolio. Amie prepared monthly reporting packages and presented results in meetings with senior management. Additionally, as PG&E Gas was a subsidiary of PG&E Corp, they were responsible for drafting management disclosures for the gas corporation’s inclusion in consolidated SEC filings.

Amie Wright joined AGNC Mortgage Management, LLC in 2003 and became the Senior Vice President of Internal Audit in 2018.

Amie Wright has a BBA in Accounting from William & Mary. Amie is also certified as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. and as a Certified Risk Management Assurance from the Institute of Internal Audit. Additionally, they are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Virginia Society of CPAs.

Amie Wright reports to Gary D. Kain, CEO & CIO. They work with Sean P. Reid - Senior Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development, Kenneth L. Pollack - Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Secretary, and Christopher J. Kuehl - Executive Vice President.
