Maxwell Wharton has a diverse work experience that includes roles in backend development, data science, machine learning engineering, real estate, teaching assistance, finance analysis, and research assistance. Currently, Maxwell is working as the Backend Development Manager at Agora Data, Inc. since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at the same company from August 2021 to September 2022. Before joining Agora Data, Maxwell worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at KUNGFU.AI from September 2019 to August 2021. Maxwell also gained experience as an Intern at CBRE from May 2019 to September 2019. As a Licensed Realtor at West Campus Living from August 2018 to September 2019, Maxwell successfully closed deals for apartment rentals and home sales while being a full-time student. Maxwell also served as a Mathematics Teaching Assistant and Grader at The University of Texas at Austin from September 2017 to September 2019, improving student participation and grading homework for over 100 students weekly. Additionally, Maxwell gained experience as a Preconstruction and Finance Analyst Intern at StreetLights Residential from May 2017 to August 2017, where they aided in designing cost-modeling programs and analyzing financial climates. Maxwell started their professional career as a Research Assistant at the Healthy Development Project from December 2015 to June 2016, assisting in research and creating participant surveys.
Maxwell Wharton studied at The University of Texas at Austin from 2016 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science and Arts degree with a focus on Mathematics. During their time there, they also pursued certificates in Business and Computer Science. Maxwell further expanded their expertise by earning a Professional Machine Learning Engineer certification from Google in April 2021.
