John Gallivan

John Gallivan is a seasoned consultant and expert in petroleum engineering with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a consultant at AGR since January 2000, John applies petroleum engineering skills to global projects, focusing on regions such as Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. Prior to this, John held the position of Technical Director where responsibilities included directing and monitoring petrotechnical work in upstream oil and gas consultancy. From 2001 to 2008, John was the General Manager at TRACS-Consult in Moscow, where John's leadership established and expanded the company's presence in the region. John began a career in engineering at BP Exploration from 1986 to 1994, specializing in field development planning, production forecasting, and reservoir monitoring for the UKCS assets. Educationally, John holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Experimental Physics from Caltech and a Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from University College, Dublin, along with a Leaving Certificate from Newbridge College in Ireland.
