Dan Walker

Dan Walker is an experienced professional in the field of research and development, currently serving as the Head of R&D Facilities at Agratas since February 2024, focusing on the establishment of world-class R&D centers in the UK and India. Prior to this role, Dan held positions at Ilika plc as Program Manager and Senior Scientist from October 2019 to February 2024, where project management skills were applied to the Goliath NPI Programme and advancements in safe and improved secondary batteries were pursued. Previous roles included Project Leader and Senior Research Scientist at Merck Group, overseeing international projects and leading research in OLED applications, as well as a PhD student at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, funded by Merck, where inorganic semiconductor materials were developed. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Materials Science, an MPhil in Materials Science, and a Master's degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Southampton, along with a Management Foundation Program from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
