Chris Johnson has over 25 years of work experience in the technology industry. Chris began their career in 1985 as the Director of Technology for HBF Construction, Inc., where they were responsible for the IBM Mainframe technology supporting engineering and change management for construction projects throughout the Southwest. In 1991, they became the Chief Technology Officer for Business Instruments Computer Systems, where they were responsible for the creation, design, and development of the ComputerHouse Networking System. From 1995 to 1998, they were the Senior Data Engineering Manager for Frontier Communications, where they were responsible for the design, development, and distribution of network technologies. From 1998 to 2002, they worked as the Executive/Network Architecture and Engineering for Fresenius Medical Care. From 2013 to 2017, they were the Chief Technology Strategist for Johnson Innovation Group. In 2020, they became the Chief Executive Officer for Agrellus, where they are passionate about the sustainability of the family farm and its ecosystem.
Chris Johnson attended Western Texas College from 1979 to 1981, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS in Management Information Systems. Chris then attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1981 to 1982, where they studied Communications & Technology. In 1998, Chris Johnson obtained a Mission Data certification from Hill Associates, Inc. In 2013, they obtained a VSP & VSP5 certification from VMware.
