AGRIMOD SARL is an innovative agritech and agribusiness company based in Bukavu, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The company is transforming agricultural value chains through artificial intelligence, digital agriculture, climate-smart farming, and inclusive market systems.
AGRIMOD SARL works with smallholder farmers, cooperatives, women, youth, and vulnerable rural communities to address key challenges including low productivity, limited market access, post-harvest losses, climate change, and dependence on imported agricultural inputs.
Its flagship innovation, MAVUNO Digital, is an AI-powered platform that provides agricultural advisory services, climate information, digital market access, cooperative management tools, and post-harvest support. Through AgriAI for Farmers, producers receive localized recommendations that improve productivity and decision-making.
The company also operates Agrimod Academy, an AI-enabled learning platform delivering climate-smart agriculture and agribusiness training in local languages, making agricultural knowledge more accessible across East Africa.
AGRIMOD SARL further develops locally produced bio-pesticides and sustainable bio-inputs from local resources, helping farmers improve soil health, reduce production costs, and strengthen agricultural resilience.
The company currently implements the projects “Empowering Sustainable Maize Production and Market Integration in South-Kivu, DR Congo” and “MAVUNO Digital for Maize Value Chain in the EAC (DR Congo, Burundi and Tanzania)”, supported by the German Cooperation, the European Union, OACPS, GIZ, ABF, and the East African Community.
