Nick Hogervorst

Nick Hogervorst has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nick started their career in 2011 as a Trails Guide/Game Ranger at Campfire Safaris, where they gained knowledge and experience in guiding and game farm management. In 2012, they interned at Safaripark Beekse Bergen, where they organized educational events for families to learn about animals. In 2013, they interned at Maranque Plants PLC, where they developed a system to map and monitor local ecology. Nick also interned at Mars in the R&D department, working on a root cause analysis project. In 2013, they participated in the TFF Challenge with their team Agrilution, focusing on producing sustainable and resource-saving food. In 2014, they interned at Agriterra in Tanzania, gaining experience in accountancy and business development. In 2015, they were a student intern at Texas A&M AgriLife, analyzing economic opportunities for local production. Nick joined AgriPlace in 2016 and held various roles including Product Manager, Head of Customer Success, Scrum Master, and Content Creator. Throughout their career, Nick has shown a passion for agriculture and sustainability, striving to make a positive impact on both humans and nature.

Nick Hogervorst completed their Bachelor's degree in International Food & Agribusiness from HAS green academy in the years 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended Helicon from 2008 to 2012, where they pursued studies in Ecology and Wildlife management. From 2006 to 2008, Nick attended Holland college Maasland and obtained an MBO 3 degree in Small/Companion Animal Surgery and Medicine.

In addition to their education, Nick also holds several certifications. In September 2011, they obtained the certification of Back-up Trails Guide from the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA). In March 2011, they obtained the Competency Certificate for Field Guides from the same institution. Lastly, in October 2008, Nick achieved the FGASA Level 1 certification.
