Previously, at Meta from October 2021 to January 2023, Peter worked as a Software Engineer. Peter played a crucial role in prioritizing record keeping for their privacy-focused team and led the design and implementation of a system for processing and recording events. Peter also implemented a system for monitoring system settings to ensure data sharing compliance with third parties.
Prior to that, at Owl Labs from February 2021 to October 2021, Peter served as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer. Peter Ivie received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University, which they attended from 1995 to 2002. Peter then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Later, Peter completed their academic journey by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, a program they enrolled in from 2013 to 2018.
In addition to their formal education, Peter obtained several certifications to enhance their skills in various areas.
