Jonathan Prechtel

Jonathan Prechtel has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jonathan is currently the Head of Test Engineering & EMC Laboratory at AGRO AG since November 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Development Optical Sensors at Hitachi ABB Power Grids from July 2020 to November 2020. Jonathan also worked at ABB for several years, starting as a Systems Engineer Optical Sensors from November 2015 to October 2018, and later becoming the Head of Development Optical Sensors from November 2018 to July 2020. Before their corporate experience, they worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant and Ph.D. student at the University of Basel from April 2011 to August 2015.

Jonathan Prechtel earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Physik from the University of Basel from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Diplom degree in Physik at The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg from 2005 to 2011. In addition, they obtained a Master of Physics in Optoelectronics and Lasers from Heriot-Watt University from 2008 to 2009.
