John L. Curtis, PhD is the founder (1990) and President of Agtech, Inc., a recognized leader in product development, order fulfillment and hands-on training for the livestock embryo technology (ET) industry. Born/raised in central Kansas, Dr. Curtis acquired his formal ET training in 1979-1981 while completing an M.S. in Physiology and Biophysics at Colorado State University. His B.S. in Animal Science (Summa Cum Laude) is from Fort Hays State University (Hays, Kansas) and his Ph.D. in Animal Science is from Kansas State University (Manhattan, Kansas).
Prior to forming Agtech, Dr. Curtis provided commercial ET services for seven years to dairy and beef cattle breeders throughout states in the northeast US (Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont).
Dr. Curtis continues to oversee the daily business activities of Agtech (marketing, financial, product R&D) and teaches embryo transfer courses. He has instructed more than 500 students (veterinarians and cattle breeders) in/outside the US in ET technologies.
When not at Agtech, John is partial to enjoying quality family time with his wife, kids and grandkids at Table Rock lake in Missouri where outings are sure to include boating, water skiing, cliff jumping, riding go-karts, grilling thick tenderloins, swimming, and hiking the Ozark mountains.
