Dr. Marcus Cox is one of the three Directors at Agulhas Applied Knowledge, where they lead practices focusing on law and justice, conflict and fragility, and development effectiveness. Specializing in political economy analysis, Marcus has played a key role as Technical Director for the UK’s Independent Commission for Aid Impact, ensuring high-quality reviews of significant aid programmes. They have extensive experience in institutional development and capacity building, serving as an evaluator for various initiatives and leading independent monitoring efforts in Vietnam. With a strong background in writing and editing, Marcus is also the lead author for influential series and serves as Senior Editor at the European Stability Initiative.
