Kwesi Folson has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. KWESI started their career in the supermarket industry, working as a Co ManagerPerishables for Harris Teeter Supermarkets and later as a Store Manager for Shaws Supermarket and Price Rite Supermarket. During this time, they focused on improving sales, customer count, and ordering processes.
After their supermarket experience, Kwesi worked as a Store Co Manager for Harris Teeter, where they were responsible for grocery, healthcare, and beauty products, as well as associate recruitment and training. KWESI then joined Shoppers Food Warehouse as a Store Director, covering store manager vacations and overseeing multiple stores. Kwesi also served as a Store Director for Bloom Stores, where they were responsible for all operations, sales, and personnel activities.
In 2006, Kwesi transitioned to the role of an Owner at Top Shelf Import and Export before joining USAID/TIPCEE as a Consultant - Business Planning in 2009. In this role, they worked on improving market access for horticultural exports by reviewing and improving business plans and developing individual plans for selected clients.
In 2011, Kwesi became the Managing Director at Leap Management Consultants & Investment Company, providing consulting services in retail, direct selling, and agro business strategic planning.
Their most recent role is with AgUnity, where they serve as the Country Manager for Ghana and West Africa. In this position, they are responsible for the growth of the AgUnity brand, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and building relationships with key clients.

Kwesi Folson's education history begins with their attendance at Mfantsipim school, with no specified start or end year, during which they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Following this, they pursued an AAS Degree (Agronomy) in Soil Science and Agronomy from the State of New York Agricultural and Technical College from 1982 to 1984. KWESI then went on to earn a Bsc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT, from 1987 to 1989. Lastly, they obtained a Masters degree in International Business Management from Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) between 2001 and 2002.
