Dan Slater

Dan Slater has over 30 years of work experience, starting in 1989 at Bank IV as a Programmer Analyst. Dan was responsible for backup and assisting the System Manager, as well as creating systems to track tape library and updating existing programs. Dan also performed computer operations and problem-solved hardware and software issues.

In 1991, Dan joined Halstead Hospital as the Director of IT. Their responsibilities included strategic planning of IT resources, application development, and implementing support for the customer billing system and inventory management system using MUMPS.

From 1998 to 2008, Dan worked at Data Design, Inc as the COO/CIO. Dan developed web designs, tested inventory management systems using VBA, and conducted customer network configuration and installation.

In 2008, Dan joined TEKsystems as a MUMPS Developer. Their primary responsibility was developing cross-platform communication via remote procedure calls, and they also worked on converting MUMPS databases to coordinate with SQL databases using .NET and C#.

Since 2015, Dan has been working at AgVantis, Inc. as a Sr. Developer/Analyst. Additional details about their role are not provided.

Dan Slater attended Newman University from 1985 to 1989, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management. During their time there, they focused on the field of Information Technology.
