Derek Williams is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in technical consulting and systems administration. Currently serving as a Principal Technical Consultant at AHEAD since October 2019, following a merger with Data Blue and Sovereign Systems, Derek has progressed through various roles within AHEAD, including Senior Technical Consultant and Technical Consultant. Prior to this, experience includes working as an Implementation Specialist at Sovereign Systems and multiple positions at Northeast Georgia Health System, where expertise as a Systems Administrator III and II was developed. Additional roles include Network Engineer at Snap Technology and Network Administrator at Forsyth County Public Library. Derek began a career in IT at Precyse, where roles ranged from Application Support Specialist to Senior Service Center Technician. Derek holds a Bachelor's Degree in Network and Communications Management from Devry University, completed in 2003.
