Jonathan Pearce is the co-founder and microprocessor architect at AheadComputing, currently focused on computer architecture that leverages the expressivity of high-level languages. They previously served as a microprocessor architect at Intel Corporation, working on advanced CPU microarchitecture research and development from 2019 to 2024, and held the position of computer architect at Intel from 2002 to 2014, contributing to OpenCL on GPU and Nehalem coherent fabric performance. Jonathan began their career as a summer intern at Star Core in 2001 and later worked as a research scientist at Intel Labs, specializing in accelerator architecture from 2014 to 2019. They hold both a B.S. and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, earned between 1998 and 2002.
