John Lanier has a diverse work experience. John started their career in the United States Army Reserve as a Commissioned Officer from 1985 to 1993. John then worked at MedTrac, Inc. as the Vice-President of Sales from 1994 to 1996, where they drove new sales and boosted revenue. John later became the Chief Operating Officer of MedTrac, Inc. from 1997 to 2000, overseeing all operations activities. John then served as the Chief Operating Officer of Willis from 1999 to 2000. John joined NFIB in 2001, first as the Vice President of Sales and later as the Sr. Vice President of Operations from 2004 to 2009. At NFIB, they led various functions and had multiple direct and indirect reports. In 2010, John worked as a Solutions Account Executive at Johnson Controls. John then transitioned to the role of Chief Operating Officer at North American Technician Excellence (NATE) in 2013, where they were responsible for formulating policies and managing daily operations. Currently, John is the Chief Operating Officer of The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) since 2015.
John Lanier holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Economics from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, they have obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance from Wilmington University.
