Prashant Iyer

Prashant Iyer is a Machine Learning Researcher at Ray W. Herrick Laboratories, Purdue University, since August 2024, focusing on analyzing granular materials using neural ordinary differential equations in PyTorch. Concurrently, Prashant works with the Environmental Research Group at Purdue University, collaborating with NASA JPL to model atmospheric pollutants and employing neural networks for data processing and forecasting. As an AI Engineer Intern at LLMWare, Prashant developed an AI application for transcribing college lectures, utilizing OpenAI's Whisper model and Microsoft Azure. Past experiences include improving conversational AI at Cognius.ai and creating a Python program for HCL Technologies to modernize mainframe scripts. Prashant is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Data Science, and Applied Statistics at Purdue University, expected to graduate in 2026.
