Eric Chen

Eric Chen currently serves as the Director and Head of Engineering at SpruceID since December 2024 and as a Resident Expert at AI2 Incubator since January 2025. Prior to these roles, Eric held the position of Engineering Manager at Stripe from April 2024 to December 2024 and co-founded Cakework from December 2022 to May 2023. Eric co-founded a stealth startup at the Allen Institute for AI from March 2021 to March 2022 and worked at Amazon Web Services as a Software Development Manager from September 2017 to December 2019. Eric's prior experience includes various roles at Amazon from 2011 to March 2017, including Software Development Manager and Software Development Engineer. Eric began a career in technology as a Research Assistant at UC Davis from October 2010 to June 2011. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis, completed in 2011.
