Simon Downes

Simon Downes is a Senior Legal Counsel at the Technology Innovation Institute, where they advise on commercial agreements and issues such as digital content, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. They have deep sector experience in technology, media, and telecommunications, and a particular interest in new and disruptive technologies. Previously, Simon served as Legal Counsel at Improbable and completed various positions including vacation schemes and trainee solicitor roles at notable firms such as Burges Salmon LLP and TripAdvisor. Simon holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of York, where they studied from 2013 to 2016.
