Sonja Key is a seasoned legal and business development professional with extensive experience in the insurance and financial services sectors. Since November 2009, Sonja has held various senior roles at AIA, including Group Senior Counsel and Head of Corporate Transactions, overseeing a diverse range of corporate initiatives, M&A transactions, and partnership operations across 15 markets. Previously, Sonja served as Managing Director and Assistant General Counsel for Hartford Asia from March 2008 to November 2009, where responsibilities included strategic business development in Asian markets. From 1998 to 2008, Sonja was Regional General Counsel and Business Development Consultant at ING Insurance Asia/Pacific, managing key regional legal matters and significant acquisitions. Sonja holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from UNSW.
