Marcus Farstad

Software Engineer

Marcus Farstad is a versatile web developer and software engineer with extensive experience in both freelance and organizational settings. As a self-employed freelance web developer from January 2020 to August 2023, Marcus developed full-stack websites such as englishclass.club and chinesehelp. Currently, Marcus serves as the founder and lead developer of the Refugee Literacy Project, an initiative aimed at enhancing literacy skills for individuals with refugee status through the website refugeliteracy.org. Previous roles include Software Engineer Intern and Associate Software Engineer at TomTom, where performance evaluation frameworks were developed, and ESOL Instructor and Field Worker at Dråpen i Havet, focusing on teaching English and supporting community activities for refugees.
