Jan Taylor

Jan Taylor, CPA, CGMA, PhD has over 30 years of experience in academia and professional organizations. Currently, Jan serves as the Academic in Residence and Senior Director of Academic and Student Engagement at the AICPA. Prior to this, Jan was an Associate Professor of Accounting at Sam Houston State University for 12 years. Jan also has a history of leadership roles, including serving as the Immediate Past President, President, and President-elect of Beta Alpha Psi. Jan has contributed to the field of accounting by holding positions such as Visiting Professor at the University of San Diego and being a member of the Board of Directors at AICPA - Beta Alpha Psi. Early in Jan's career, they worked as a Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
