Peter Watson

Peter Watson is currently a Principal Data Scientist in R&D at AiDASH, focusing on developing climate resilience products for key industries and critical infrastructure since June 2025. Previously, Peter served as a Scientist II at Los Alamos National Laboratory from January 2023 to June 2025 and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Connecticut in 2022, where expertise in power outage modeling was advanced. Prior roles include Chief Technical Officer at Whether, Inc., where Peter founded a startup centered on predicting weather-related impacts on businesses, and a Doctoral Student Researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory developing national-scale storm impact models. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Connecticut, and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Chicago.
