Yaniv Abelson

Yaniv Abelson currently serves as the Director of R&D Program Management and A.I Technical Projects Manager at Aidoc since October 2023, focusing on AI and machine learning. Previously, Yaniv held various leadership roles within the Directorate of Defense Research & Development from 2017 to 2022, including Director of the UAV Program Executive Office and Senior UAV Program Director, where responsibilities included policy development and managing advanced technological projects in unmanned aerial vehicles. Yaniv's earlier experience in the Israel Defense Forces spanned from 2001 to 2017, culminating in the position of Head of Operational Requirements and Projects Branch at the IDF Planning Directorate and various senior appointments emphasizing precision fire systems and technological strategy. Yaniv holds multiple degrees from Technion and Tel Aviv University, including a Master's degree in System Engineering and a recent certification in Accounting and Finance.
