Kieran Black 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈

Kieran Black has an extensive work history in the field of technical event operations and community maintenance. In 2020, they joined Aiera as a Software Engineer, where they worked until July 2021. From July 2021 to March 2022, Kieran served as a Technical Lead, Events at Aiera. Currently, they hold the position of Technical Director, Event Operations at Aiera. Additionally, Kieran has also worked at Virtual Coffee as a Community Maintainer from April 2020 to June 2022, and at Project Alloy as a Community Engagement Leader from January 2020 to July 2021.

Kieran Black 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 has a diverse educational background. They began their education at West Virginia University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Agriculture, General from 2001 to 2006. Following this, Kieran pursued further specialization in this field by pursuing a Master's Degree from the same institution, which they completed between 2008 and 2011.

Seeking to expand their skill set, Kieran attended the Flatiron School from 2019 to 2020, where they pursued a degree in Software Engineering. Equipped with this knowledge, they furthered their expertise in the field of Data Science at Northeastern University, where they are currently pursuing a Master of Science (M.S.) degree.

In addition to their formal education, Kieran has also obtained a certification in the Learn Git & GitHub Course from Codecademy in February 2022. This certification showcases their commitment to continuously updating their technical skills.
