Arup Nanda

Arup Nanda is an accomplished data and technology leader currently serving as SVP and Global Head of Data at AIG, overseeing a global team of 700 and enhancing claims efficiency and underwriting accuracy through data-driven insights and AI technologies. Nanda has served as a member of the Board of Advisors for The State University of New York, contributing to curriculum and training development in the data and analytics field. Previous roles include Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co, where responsibilities encompassed firmwide data engineering and architecture, and Divisional Chief Architect at Capital One, focusing on data ecosystems and machine learning. Earlier experience includes Vice President and Chief Data Officer at Priceline, Principal Global Database Architect at Starwood Hotels, and various leadership positions in database engineering and operations. Nanda holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Sambalpur University and dual MBAs in MIS/Finance and Systems/Finance from XLRI Jamshedpur and Xavier Institute of Management, respectively.
