Chris Schaper

Christopher Schaper is an accomplished insurance executive with extensive experience in underwriting and reinsurance. Currently serving as the Global Chief Underwriting Officer and CEO of AIG RE since July 2019, Christopher also held the position of CEO at Victor Insurance Holdings from September 2016 to June 2019, leading the largest managing general underwriter worldwide. Prior roles include President of Montpelier Reinsurance Ltd., along with multiple directorships and leadership positions at various insurance firms including Endurance Specialty Insurance Ltd. and Gerling Global Financial Products. Christopher's educational background includes an MBA and an MS in International Business from The Johns Hopkins University, and a BS in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University.
