Daniel Thunvik

Daniel Thunvik is a seasoned professional in risk engineering, currently serving as a Sr Risk Engineer at AIG since 2025. Their previous role as a Riskingenjör at Zurich Insurance from 2016 to 2023 involved conducting risk surveys and advising clients on loss prevention. Prior to that, Daniel worked at Hannover Re as a Property Underwriter, where they managed industrial property risks across the Nordic market from 2023 to 2025. Daniel's early career included a position as a Civilingenjör at Inspecta Nuclear AB from 2007 to 2016 and at Bodycote Materials Testing from 2005 to 2006, focusing on materials testing and project management. They obtained a Master of Science in Solid Mechanics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2005.
