Derek DeKoning is currently the South Central Regional Underwriting Manager at AIG, where they oversee aspects of underwriting within the Atlanta Commercial Property Division. Previously, Derek held various roles, including Senior Underwriter and Summer Intern at INSUREtrust, where they developed an appetite guide for producers. They co-founded the first Student-Run Captive Insurance Company while serving as Student CEO at Butler University, which provided hands-on experience in the insurance industry.
