John Cherry

John Cherry currently serves as the Global Security Director at AIG, a position held since September 2021, where responsibilities include leading globally distributed security teams and managing organizational risks while providing strategic counsel to enterprise leaders. Prior to this role, John Cherry worked at the U.S. Department of State for eight years as a Special Agent within the Bureau of Diplomatic Security and as a Security Protective Specialist, where expertise in high threat close protection was demonstrated. John Cherry's earlier experience includes service in the United States Marine Corps as a member of Fox Company 2nd Battalion 3rd Marines, featuring two combat deployments to Iraq. Academically, John Cherry holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Georgetown University and a BA in International/Global Studies from Saint Xavier University.
