Mark Govender

Mark Govender is currently the Head of Marine AIG for Sub-Saharan Africa, bringing a wealth of experience in marine insurance, including expertise in claims, client servicing, underwriting, and broking. They previously served as a Senior Marine Underwriter at Horizon Underwriting Managers and held positions such as Complex Claims Adjuster – Marine at Hollard Insurance and Technical Underwriting Manager – Marine Africa at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty. Additionally, Mark has a background as Marine Manager at Compendium Insurance Group and Marine Account Executive at Alexander Forbes Risk Services. They are currently pursuing an AIISA degree in Insurance at the Insurance Institute of South Africa.
