Michael McDonnell is an experienced insurance professional currently serving as the Head of Excess Casualty Bermuda at AIG since April 2018. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Senior Vice President at Sompo International from March 2009 to March 2019. Michael also worked at Endurance as Vice President and Assistant Vice President from October 2002 to July 2009, and served as Assistant Vice President at American Home Assurance Company (AIG) from April 1997 to October 2002. Earlier in his career, Michael was a Transportation Underwriter at Lancer Insurance Company from September 1992 to April 1997. Michael obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation and Business Administration from the State University of New York Maritime College between 1988 and 1992.
